Resident Evil 7 -Biohazard

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom, released in January 2017 for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Following the more action-oriented Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6Resident Evil 7 returns to the franchise’s survival horror roots, emphasizing exploration. The player controls Ethan Winters as he searches for his wife in a derelict plantation occupied by the cannibal Baker family, solving puzzles and fighting enemies. It is the first main Resident Evil game to use a first-person perspective.

The development team consisted of about 120 people, led by Koshi Nakanishi, director of the 2012 Nintendo 3DS game Resident Evil: Revelations.Resident Evil 7 is the first full-length game to use Capcom’s in-house RE Engine. It was presented as a virtual reality demo, Kitchen, a year prior to its announcement at E3 2016, and supports the PlayStation VR headset.

Resident Evil 7 was considered a return to form for the series; critics praised the gameplay, graphics, and design, but criticized the boss battles and the final chapter. The PlayStation VR version received positive reviews, with some criticism including decreased resolution and physical discomfort. By late 2017, the game had sold 4.8 million copies worldwide.

Ghost Recon -Wildlands

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is a tactical shooter game set in an open world environment and played from a third-person perspective with an optional first person view for gun aiming. Players play as members of the Delta Company, First Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, also known as “Ghosts”, a fictional elite special operations unit of the United States Army under the Joint Special Operations Command.

It does not feature the futuristic setting used in Advanced Warfighter and Future Soldier, but instead adopts a modern-day setting, similar to the original Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon. As a result, the equipment featured in the game is based on weapons and gear commonly used by military forces around the world. However, it features some original equipment, such as drones that can be used to tag enemies and show objectives. These drones have limited abilities until upgraded. The game is the first entry to feature an open world environment, which consists of nine different types of terrain, such as: mountains, forests, desert, salt flats, and also introduces a dynamic weather system as well as a day-night cycle.

Completing missions during day-time allows players to spot enemies easily, while completing missions at night grants players a tactical advantage, as the night offers players better concealment and easier infiltration due to some guardsmen being asleep. Players are tasked with making observations before carrying out missions. A variety of vehicles, such as dirt bikes, helicopters and dune buggies are featured in the game.Unlike its predecessors, Wildlands features several side-missions.

Assassin’s Creed – Origins

When you need to see the bigger picture, sometimes it’s best to return to your roots. Assassin’s Creed Origins takes this thinking to heart and steps into the seamless and dynamic open world of ancient Egypt. Although this move shows glimmers of a brighter future for the series, it also becomes clear that its core gameplay and presentation have some difficulties keeping up with the newfound pace and scale.

Blurring the lines between prequel and sequel, Assassin’s Creed Origins takes us back to the beginning of the Assassin Brotherhood, while also laying the groundwork for a new present-day storyline. Set during the time of the Ptolemaic Kingdom in Egypt, you take on the role of Bayek, a Medjay ranger who embarks on a quest for revenge against a mysterious order that pre-dates the Templars. Crossing paths with historical figures such as Cleopatra and Julius Caesar, Bayek travels through the dense and varied lands of Northern Africa. He’ll sneak, loot, and stab key figures in the social and political worlds of Egypt, leading to several unforeseen consequences for the future of the Kingdom, right up to present day events.

While references to significant characters and events from other games are present, they take a backseat to the parallel narratives of Origins, particularly to that of Bayek and his companions as they lay the foundations of their creed in Egypt. Bayek himself is a major influence in the world, thoughtful of others and his surroundings. Despite facing tragedy, he isn’t shy about breaking the tension with a joke or sharing a tender moment with loved ones. While he’s steadfast in his resolve to take revenge against those who wronged him, he’s always willing to help those in need.

Night in the woods

Depending who you are, you’ll either want to hang out with Night in the Woods’ characters all the time or tell them to get off your lawn. The game is small enough to feel intimate and spacious enough to cater to different kinds of curious people. It may feel different for everyone who plays it.

Night in the Woods is a sidescrolling narrative game developed by the small team Infinite Fall. The main character, Mae Borowski, is a cat. All the characters are animals, though there are also animals in the game who are just regular animals, so have fun with that. Mae has just returned to her tiny hometown of Possum Springs after dropping out of college for mysterious reasons at age 20 (Update 2/25—This piece originally said Mae was 19).

At the start of the game, her parents neglect to pick her up from the bus station, so she has to wander home through town. There’s a minor puzzle about platforming over an obstacle, a lot of reminiscing aloud, and some running into family. Later, some supernatural elements get thrown into the mix, but in the first ten minutes you’ll see most of the game’s mechanics. By the time the first of its four parts starts, you pretty much know what the game is made of.

‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’

While there are plenty of RPGs available on Sony’s PlayStation 4, CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the best. In the epic conclusion to the adventure trilogy, players once again don the role of Geralt of Rivia, waging battle against the advancing Wild Hunt army in the Northern Kingdoms. Although the title remains similar in style to previous games in the series, CD Projekt Red included new combat mechanics and significantly bolstered the customization, all of which help it improve upon the gameplay and imbue its open-world with a greater sense of depth. Moreover, few games possess the kind of writing present in The Witcher 3, which features an enthralling story penned by regular series writer Marcin Blacha. Perhaps the game’s biggest draw is the fact that the main storyline takes players roughly 30 hours to complete. That number balloons to more than 100 hours if you take into account side quests and mini-games, rendering its longevity as attractive as its visuals.
